Challenge Meetings are set up for 10 minute meetings to go over each of your employees challenge forms. Monthly challenge meetings break down the past month plans (What was discussed the previous month) and next month’s goals to work on issues or their personal challenges. If possible, have one of the items a personal goal that the team member is wanting for themselves. (If you can help a team member reach a personal goal, it will build a better team member).
Each month we have to look at what is most important to have completed over the next 30 days. On any given month we may have 2-3 tasks that need to be completed. Some of these tasks may be what we want them to finish, and some monthly challenges are issues that the employee needs to work on. The challenge meeting will be the best tool to hold employees accountable for what they need to work on.
If an employee writes down what they will work on to get better at or what they will stop doing, and they have to write it down multiple months in a row, it shows that they may not be the right employee for your organization, and they know it because they wrote it down to work on three months in a row. (Remember, you don’t fire employees, they fire themselves).
